For community mobilization SATHEE organises stage drama, Block level workshop, meeting with community, LCD presentations, setting up WATSAN committee etc.
We organise workshops for target groups especially the local committees demonstrating and educating them about the maintenance of the filters and building a sustainable, scalable safe drinking water programme based on the Arsenic Removal Units installed by Sathee.
To help people of the affected areas take responsibility of maintaining, funding and general policy decisions regarding the Arsenic Removal Units (ARUs), we set up a WATSAN committee with represenatives from the locaL people. This idea is working wonderfully and we are experiencing that the local people are gradually becoming self sufficient in maintaining and running the plants.
